Some weeks ago I spent a few hours in all-time-classic Spetses, just enough to remind me how much I love the relaxed high-class ambiance of this island so close to Athens.
Spetses is not the reserved playground of ship tycoons or 60s-like holidays any more… There is so much to do (even shopping has gone to a higher level recently) but if you care to know my personal favorites, these are Poseidonion Grand Hotel & Nero Tis Agapis (Water Of Love) restaurant, the former being a French Riviera-like resort grand hotel & the latter a seafood restaurant like no other on the island.
